Swim 4 Life
For the past few months we’ve been working with Olympic Medalist Steve Parry and his Total Swimming company. The brief was to deliver a piece of interactive media which would introduce the practices of swimming and staying safe in water. Rather than attempt to film underwater, we opted for a series of 3d animations to illustrate the techniques through 4 child characters who demonstrate the techniques while Steve himself provides a friendly down to earth narration.
The sequences are grouped and wrapped within an easy to use interface. This is initially distributed on DVD-R, but there may be plans to migrate it to the web to enable users to record their progress through the activities.

I’ve just recently started producing conceptual and design work for TravelTek, who supply booking engines and back end development for travel related websites.

Mobileshop have started to work with me on various offline and online campaigns. The first project involved designing and producing artwork for press, email campaigns, gif and flash banners.

We’ve just done a reskin for thelovers.co.uk to match the new album ‘Highlights’. We’ve kept everything as simple as the cd design with no unnecessary fuss, in a blog style.

We’ve just gone live with a new site for Brodex who manufacture machines and equipment for pure water cleaning businesses such as industrial window cleaners and suchlike. The site was initially a visual reskin, but we’ve added new media elements such as a flash version of the 3 minute motion sequence which we produced to help enhance exhibition displays.

Make Sure You’re Covered
This is a new campaign for the Musician’s Union promoting their insurance and advice services. As the insurance and advice concerns many different eventualities, we had to try and cover a lot of ground in one graphic - so thought of every possible musician’s bad day and what could happen, and made it into a newspaper clipping. Simple but effective - we hope!

… sorry, I mean pole ‘cleaning’ - that was the buzz word this week when I was designing and producing a presentation application for BMS, who make industrial cleaning products - you know, those 100ft poles with a brush at the end for cleaning really high buildings.
The application is for sales reps to take out and show potential clients video examples of the equipment in action, and all the necessary technical specs. I’m also producing an optimised version which will work on the website.

Highlights
Tom Hingley and The Lovers have been back in the recording studio and produced an excellent new album called Highlights, much more melodic than their last Abba are the Enemy release. The album’s quite uplifting and we’ve tried to keep the positivity in the sleeve design.

Flasma
Flasma is the only patented product in the world showing moving images in the floor. You can walk on these things and they don’t even flinch! The floor still remains and underutilised advertising medium and considering the majority of people look ath the floor when they walk it seems quite incredible that it hasn’t been exploited.

Return of the Cow
Inspiral Carpets are back on the road again, so we’re helping out again with this and that. We’re reminding people about life in the early 90s and bringing back that Central Station baggy feel. Clint was even wanting to use the old projection system with gels and all that, but we think it died on the journey to the venue.
Funnily enough, we just recently helped out Puressence, who also insisted on using the old school projectors… everything comes round again doesn’t it - so hang onto that burberry stuff for another 20 years and it’ll be back in fashion again… well maybe not!![]()
